Whistler winery was founded by Martin Pfeiffer in 1997, former Head Vineyard Manager at Penfolds and 3rd generation grape-grower. Therefore, at the core of our family owned business is a love of the land. Martin purchase Whistler’s Heysen Estate property in 1982. Initially, the land was used for crop & sheep farming. He obtains the famous Penfolds Kalimna 3C Grange clone which the 1st planting in 1994. Now, Martin’s son Sam, with his wife Kelsey, are second generation owners.
The 15 hectare vineyard operates entirely under organic and biodynamic practices. They are pride themselves on producing sustainably grown, handcrafted wines.
