History: Good Intentions Wine located Mount Gambier was established by Andrew Burchell released the first vintage in 2014. Vineyards are located on the south side of one of Australia’s youngest volcano with limestone soil. Limestone filters the rainfall naturally and the result is a pure water thriving with minerality. This incredible soil complexity and the cool climate makes for perfect growing conditions and in turn beautiful, elegant and totally unique wines like no others.
Winery use old world wine methods, preferring the challenges of hand picking our fruit, open fermenting with indigenous yeast an only adding sulphur when required by the wine. All wines are unfined, unfiltered and bottled inside winery. Our aim is to produce great tasting unique wines expressing this unique terroir above anything else. This famous region known for big reds has given good Intentions the opportunity to create a lighter hands off style. Carbonic macerated and 100% unoaked offers a lighter style with vibrancy and a spritz to the wine. Still holding true to the regions qualities but with drinkability and fun all wrapped up in a bottle of beauty
