2024 Jelly Fish Grenache
History: Smallfry Wines s is a proud to accounce that our vineyards and our winery are all Certified Organic/Biodynamic as of April 2014. All of our wines are made using small batch processes to showcase the particular characters and flavors of the sub-regions of the Barossa Valley wine region.

Vinification & Winemaking: The fifth iteration of this wine has brought little tweaking. Grenache from our 60 yo vines shines. My brief is to capture the vibrant fruit without being too boozy, something of a challenge. Just 4 days on skins and bottled with less than 35ppm sulphites. Arguably our hero variety, there is a degree of hype around Grenache grown on sandy soils that will be a lovely realization for everyone. Garnacha as it was originally know is drought tolerant, heat tolerant and just so well suited to our terroir.

Aroma: Strawberries and graphite with a herbal note.
Palate: Fruit sweetness up front, very soft tannin but nevertheless drying like licking a bluestone on the finish.
