2022 Pinot Noir Boxer's Vineyard

History: Good Intentions Wine located Mount Gambier was established by Andrew Burchell released the first vintage in 2014. Vineyards are located on the south side of one of Australia’s youngest volcano with limestone soil. Limestone filters the rainfall naturally and the result is a pure water thriving with minerality. This incredible soil complexity and the cool climate makes for perfect growing conditions and in turn beautiful, elegant and totally unique wines like no others.
Winery use old world wine methods, preferring the challenges of hand picking our fruit, open fermenting with indigenous yeast an only adding suiphur when required by the wine. All wines are unfined, unfiltered and bottled inside winery. Our aim is to produce great tasting unique wines expressing this unique terroir above anything else.
Vineyard: Premium selected barrels from 'Boxer's Vineyard'. After 10 years of our caring for these vines, this 2022 wine is the last production from this site after new owners sadly removed the vines following the 2022 vintage.

Winemaker’s Comment:. . This wine is produced from our organically farmed pinot vineyard. Late harvesting (mid-April) helps to ripen the fruit. Whole berry fermentation undertaken with extremely gentle handling results in a juicy yet elegent fruit forward style of Pinot.
Grown on Mount Gambier / Berrin's heavy volcanic ash soils; the volcanic and limestone soils below bring natural acidity with soft and plush tannins.
Grown, produced and bottled by us in our winery in Mount Gambier. Unfined and unfiltered.
Style : Floral yet rustic,
Aroma: Delightful red, loose knit and bright, sour and fresh cherry, touches of raspberry, mushroom whiffs and touches of lavender, rose hip tea and lemon blossom.
Palate: Fruit forward and Juicy. Plush tannins. Lip smacking stuff
Drinkable Period: 2023 - 2028
Alcohol: 12.1%
