2022 Blue Gene Baby Cabernet Sauvignon
History: Smallfry Wines s is a proud to accounce that our vineyards and our winery are all Certified Organic/Biodynamic as of April 2014. All of our wines are made using small batch processes to showcase the particular characters and flavors of the sub-regions of the Barossa Valley wine region.

Vinification & Winemaking: It feels like Cabernet has spent a bit of time out in the wilderness to me. Arguably the classic of classic wines the variety held sway at the top of the red wine tree for a long time. The trend towards less tannic and fresher styles has seen Cabernet drift in popularity (these are opinions not facts) so it looks like time for a reboot. A gentle hand in the cellar and modest oak have delivered something more fruit driven and soft but still some backbone shows through. The cooler season helped showcase the primary fruit. Shorter time in oak but bottle maturation before release has given us an accessible style.
